Involved with the musical theatre programmes, we have a highly professional team of overseas trainers who brings out the best in students. These experienced performing arts practitioners deliver techniques in acting, singing, dancing and theatre arts to participating students. We will arrange instructors with different specializations to fly to Hong Kong respective to the musical of the camp.

Founder & Artistic Director: Jonathan Mallalieu MA (Oxon), PGCE

Graduated from Plymouth College and won a scholarship to study music at Oxford University, Jonathan has had a distinguished career in the world of Performing Arts and has been Director of Music in several UK and international schools in Jordan and France before his postgraduate studies in St. Andre’s University and the London University. He has extensive experience as a theatrical director, having produced over 100 full-scale musical shows including West Side StoryMy Fair LadyOliverGreaseThe Insect PlayGuys and Dolls, and many more! He then obtained a Diploma in Educational Psychology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education on top of his solid practical experience as a theater and music director.

As a composer, Jonathan has written works in a variety of styles from educational and orchestral to rock and musical theatre. He has been commissioned to write for several TV shows for Channel 4 (UK) and Public TV (USA) and has written scores for Discovery Channel (USA) as well as TV and cinema commercials.

Artistic and Musical Director: Simon Holland

Simon graduated from Trinity College of Music in London and spent the next 20 years playing and conducting in London’s West End Musicals. He took a sabbatical to travel the world working as a Musical Director for Royal Caribbean International and it was here that he met his American wife. This naturally took him to the USA and he now lives in New York City where he is the principal Musical Director for the YMCA as well as regularly performing in the Cities Theatres and Jazz Clubs. Professional theatre credits include CATS, Starlight Express, My Fair Lady, Caroline or Change, Sister Act and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Choreographer and Dance Tutor: Paul Allnutt

Graduated from the Masters Performing Arts College in England, Paul is an experienced West End performer as well as a dance tutor. He worked on shows such as: West Side Story (playing the part of Chino), Grease, and FAME where he covered and played many of the lead roles, along with the job of assistant dance captain. Other musicals Paul performed included Annie, Oklahoma and the original cast of Santa Claus the Musical.

Paul also taught workshops and classes across the UK for the past ten years along with various choreography and direction for dance productions and musical productions, including, choreographing pantomime for Paul Holman, one of the largest panto companies in England.

Paul also participated in TV and Film productions on top of his busy teaching schedule.

Choreographer and Dance Tutor: Kelly Black

Kelly holds a BA in Dance with an emphasis in Musical Theatre from San Jose State University. She has trained in all styles of dance for the last 25 years, and has taught jazz, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, tap, voice, and musical theatre for the last 11 years. She has choreographed for Musicals, competition teams, and dance companies from San Francisco, to New York to Beauville, France! She worked for both Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruise Lines as a featured vocalist from 2010-2015, and is thankful she had the opportunity to travel the world! She currently lives and works in NYC.

Choreographer and Dance Tutor: Camilla Stanger

Camilla studied classical ballet at the Royal Academy of Dance in London and musical theatre, jazz and tap at Italia Conti Associate school in Surrey. She performed for a number of years with The National Youth Ballet and has since performed with Tuca Dance Company and contemporary dance-theatre company, Freefall Performance Lab. Camilla qualified as a ballet teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance in 2005 and has taught ballet in dance schools in and around London. She has also taught dance at corporate events for Google and children’s charity, Their Future Today.

In 2007 Camilla graduated with a PGCE in English and Drama Teaching from Goldsmiths, University of London. Since then she has taught English, Dance and Performing Arts in secondary schools and post-16 colleges in inner London, and has directed and choreographed a number of school productions. She is currently working with Goldsmiths University and Etta Ermini Dance Theatre Company in developing inclusive dance projects for inner London schools.

Camilla started working with Beauville Arts in July 2006 and has collaborated in producing the following shows: Chicago, Oliver!, The Sound of Music, Guys and Dolls, Mamma Mia and the 10th Anniversary Show – and she hopes there will be many more to come!

Voice Teacher: Joyce Wah-Sheung Wong

Joyce made her operatic debut as Barbarina in Opera Hong Kong’s production of Le Nozze di Figaro. Opera credits: Harry, Albert Herring (Intermezzo); Sophie, Wether (Le French May); Voice from Heaven, Don Carlo (Opera Hong Kong); Suor Genevieffa, Suor Angelica (Miami Lyric Opera); Pamina, Die Zaubeflöte (Seoul), Papagena, Die Zaubeflöte (Opera Hong Kong). Musical theater credits: Yvette, Gigi u/s (Media Theater); Belle, Beauty and The Beast (Hong Kong Singers).

In Dr. Sun Yat-Sen, an opera commissioned by Opera Hong Kong, Wong played Lu MuZhen to rave reviews: “Her emotions and intents… was the most touching and dramatically potent moment in the opera and superbly performed”. She continued her season in HK Arts Festival’s June Lovers by Angel Lam, and Frasquita in Carmen.

Joyce has won third place in Yokohama International Music Competition. She is a graduate of Westminster Choir College and Boston University.
