Mainly involved with our educational programmes, our local team consists of diverse professionals. Each carrying a vision to encourage and inspire students across Asia to pursue their passion for the performing arts, we are very fortunate to be working with these talents to deliver school projects and educational programmes.
Voice Teacher: Florence Cheng
Florence received her Master of Music in Choral Conducting at San Francisco State University under scholarship, where she was studying choral conducting with Dr. Joshua Habermann, having vocal training with Catherine Cook in the San Francisco Conservatory of Music as principle study.
Florence was the conductor and vocal coach of San Francisco State University Women’s Chorus, a member of San Francisco Symphony Chorus, member and assistant conductor of Symphony Silicon Valley Chorale and Symphony Silicon Valley Singers. She also served as teaching assistant of class ear training and musicianship under instruction of Prof. D.Xiques.
In June 2007, she has received scholarship for the national Chorus America Conference 2007 in Los Angeles. She is an active choral director who visits different choirs including San Francisco Girls’ Chorus, San Francisco Choral Artist, Chanticleer, American Bach Soloists and Crystal Children’s Choir. Florence is also a member of Chorus America nd American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and Chorus America. Florence is currently the conductor of the Hong Kong Children’s Choir, community choirs, school choirs and churches. In the past ears, she served as the music director of the Hong Kong Youth Choir, choir conductor of Hong Kong Baptist University Women’s Chorus, the Hong Kong International Institute of Music and the Diocesan Boy’s School. In February 2014, she established Barquentine Choral Artists Hong Kong, presenting its debut concert at Le French May 2014. She also a frequent concert presenter at Le French May art festival, including her solo voice concert in 2015 and 2016. Florence is actively performing as a choral conductor with diverse repertoire including standard choral works, choral– ‐orchestral work, opera, and musical. She is frequently appeared in performances as soprano and vocalist in Hong Kong and Macau, with diverse repertoire including classical, operatic, musical theatre and other type of vocal music. She is currently a Ph.D. Candidate of Musicology and Choral Study at Hong Kong Baptist University.
Development Director: Susanna Au-Yeung
Graduated from the University of Guelph in Canada with major in Child Education, Susanna started to work in the education field related to child assessment and child development. She expanded her career by running a consulting business for over 20 years in providing overseas education advices and mindset enrichment training. Her enthusiasm in education development has driven her to explore fun challenges for the children.
Susanna is involved in supporting several charities through voluntary work. Susanna came to know Jonathan and Claire, founders of Beauville Arts, in one of the charity occasions in China. She was impressed to see the positive impact on the hundreds of students after going through the 6-days training musical theatre camp.
Empowered by the same vision, Susanna became the Development Director of the Hong Kong representative office of Beauville Arts in 2012.
